We had the best weekend (for the most part). It started Saturday morning at my parents for Kalebs birthday weekend fun. We started the day with the best pancakes in the world (recipe below). Then we went on a shopping spree for Kaleb while the Grandparents watched our monster (aka Gabe). Then A&A and our nephews went with all of us to an Asian buffet. Then Kaleb got food poisoning and was out for the count the rest of night! So sad! Kaleb is feeling better and we are home and ready for another week.
–Pumpkin Cinnamon Roll Pancakes-http://www.recipegirl.com/2011/09/22/pumpkin-cinnamon-roll-pancakes/#_ Served w/ cheesy scrambled eggs and turkey sausage.
Run Down: The BEST pancakes ever! Run and make these! I think Kaleb had tears of joy while he made these. They are a little more time-consuming than most pancakes but soooooo worth it!
–Tomato Basil and Cheese baked Pasta (from freezer) http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/rachael-ray/tomato-basil-and-cheese-baked-pasta-recipe/index.html Ground beef and zucchini added.
Run Down: I made this a while back but froze half. We liked it even more this time around. I love all the layer of flavors of pesto, ricotta cheese and marinara sauce. Yum! Gabe also loved it which makes this dish a winner! 🙂
–Crock Pot Turkey White Bean Pumpkin Chilli http://www.skinnytaste.com/2011/10/crockpot-turkey-white-bean-pumpkin.html – going to add zucchini and corn and any other veggies I might have.
Run Down: Was very disappointed by this chilli. It didn’t have much taste and resembled light green slime with chunks.
